OMG! Have any of you ever been threatened in your job? I still remember, as I’ve said so many times before, that particular Saturday when a headteacher (even without power) said to me, “if you want to continue working here, we’re going to have to have a meeting.”
I had shivers go down my spine and heard, “Arsenio, you’re worth way more than this.”
I went home, started looking for new condos and applied for new jobs in Bangkok.
I quit in my mind and I ultimately left the job two months later.
If someone EVER threatens your job, YOU DESERVE BETTER. I don’t give a damn about the dire work situation, you put that 2-4 week notice in right there while looking them dead in the eye (idiom in regards to staring them directly in their eye), and move on.
You deserve SOOOO much better.
